The Somerset SLSC is a wonderful community group that was created as part of Surf Life Saving Australia's main water safety and rescue arthority. SLSA is the largest volunteer organisation of its kind in the country with a mission to provide safe beaches and aquatic environments throughout Australia.

Somerset SLSC, through its members, provides a range of services to Somerset and the wider community through activites such as patrols, rescues and school programs.

Surf Life Saving is a rewarding community to be involved in. It involves maintaining an active lifestyle by the beach, serving your community and learning important skills in regards to beach and water safety. Being a part of the Somerset SLSC provides you with a great opportunity to build new friendships while being a part of a great Australian icon. For younger members the skills and knowledge gained are very useful when applying for a range of jobs.

Anyone can become a member of the Somerset Surf Life Saving Club.

Your membership will be an investment in yours, your family’s and indeed your community’s safety.

Whether you are looking to be part of lifesaving patrols, surf sports competitions, training and education or be involved in a great family activity there is a place for you in our club.
